THE ADVENTURE
Join us for an EPIC adventure where orcas and humpback whales arrive in huge numbers for the annual herring migration.
Every year, the Fjords of Norway become a stage for the migration of immense herring schools… Followed closely by relentless predators.
Finback whales, herds of humpbacks, and hundreds of orcas create an awe-inspiring gathering.
You will have the chance to witness one of the greatest natural predation events in the world…UNDERWATER!
This isn't your typical dive adventure, swimming with hunting orcas and humpback whales in the Arctic is different than anything you have ever experienced before…
The conditions are extreme, the ocean is cold and the animals are BIG!
BUT IF YOU ARE READY FOR IT… we can get you in the water with these iconic predators to experience the adventure of a lifetime!
And as the day comes to a close…
Weather permitting, we will head out in the evening to seek out the Northern Lights!

These trips are snorkeling with orcas and humpback whales only. NO scuba diving.

A Deposit of $800 is required to reserve your space.

5 DAYS OF WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS.
FERRY TRANSFERS: Leave the logistics to us. We've got your round-trip transfers from Tromso Ferry Terminal to the hotel in Skervoy covered.
DRYSUIT PROVIDED: We will provided dry suits or exposure suits.
SNORKLE GEAR: We can provide Mask, Snorkel, and Fins.

TRIP ITINERARY

We will meet you outside the Tromso (TOS), airport and transfer you to Skjervoy, via. the bus and/or ferry.
There is only one daily ferry and one early morning bus. So it is best if you fly in the day before, to meet the appropriate departure time.
Total travel time is four hours. Once we are on the island, we will head to the hotel. The rest of what is left of the evening is yours to sleep and prep cameras and dive gear.

(5 Days) - Everyday is weather dependent. So in the mornings we will meet to discuss the plans for the day, eat breakfast, then head out to search for the orcas.
When we return to port, we will break for our soup lunch. After you can go back to your hotel to warm up and review the days footage.
*In the late evening, if the skies are clear, we will head out into the darkness, to search for the Northern Lights.

Eat a good breakfast. Then we will begin the journey back to Tromso airport (TOS), for your journey home.
Either schedule your return flights the day after the trip, or please contact us 6 months before the trip date to determine the ferry schedule for the departure home, as it frequently changes.

THE NORTHERN LIGHTS
Your adventure to this winter wonderland offers an incredible opportunity to witness and capture one of nature's most awe-inspiring spectacles—the Aurora Borealis.
As you gaze up at the Arctic sky, you'll be treated to a mesmerizing dance of light that seems almost magical. The Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, will captivate your senses as it gracefully moves and transforms into an array of breathtaking forms.
When the day gives way to night, weather permitting, we'll head out to find the perfect spot where you can witness this enchanting display of lights.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A non-refundable deposit of $800 USD is required to reserve a space on SDM adventures.
50% of the expedition cost (balance) is due 180 days prior to departure.
100% of the expedition cost (balance) is due 90 days prior to departure.
A 4% surcharge is applied to payments made via credit card.
A 3% paypal surcharge is applied to payments made using paypal.
Payments can also be made via wire transfer. Just let us know and we will send you the bank transfer info. Please add $40 to cover bank fees.

All cancellations made more than 120 days prior to departure will receive refund (less an administrative fee of $800 USD per person). This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if we manage to fill the trip after you cancel, we will apply the deposit towards any of our trips that you sign up for, during the following 12 months. If you cancel again during that period, you will lose the deposit.
Cancellations made (91 to 120), calendar days prior to departure, are assessed a cancellation fee of 50% of the entire trip price, (including extensions).
Cancellations made within 90 days of departure date will not be refunded, therefore we strongly recommend all guest purchase travel insurance.
All cancellations must be made in writing by mail or by email to sdm@sharkdivermag.com, - received and acknowledged by SDM Adventures.
We are not responsible for cancellations due to medical or other reasons.
No fees will be refunded if you withdraw after an expedition begins.
We are not responsible for any fees associated with non-refundable air travel, we highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance.

Solo Travelers signing up for land-based trips individually will be charged the single occupancy rate.
To help keep costs down, you have the option to inform us if you would like to share a room with another solo guest of the same sex.
We'll make every effort to find you a roommate. However, if no one else wishes to share, you will be charged for a single room.
