THE ADVENTURE
Embark on an journey with us into the Brazilian Amazon, where a unique diving encounter awaits you. Few have experienced the thrill of coming face to face with the legendary Boto—the pink river dolphin.
This endangered dolphin is the largest of the river dolphin species, with adult males weighing over 400 lbs.
This is a journey that goes beyond the beaten path, where the mythical pink river dolphin, becomes a chapter in your story.
It's not just a rare dolphin; it's a privilege reserved for those seeking extraordinary wildlife.

PLEASE NOTE: The botos are habituated dolphins. While they are 100% wild, they have been hand-fed by locals, making them very friendly.
TRIP COST PER PERSON is $2888.00 pp.
A deposit of $800 is required to reserve your space.

TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1
ARRIVAL DAY. Early morning pickup; 9AM from the Manaus airport (MAO), or airport hotel. (We recommend arriving the day before.). After we pick you up, we will drive to the Amazon river, It will take between 2-3 hours to arrive to our lodge.
First by vehicle, then by fast boat to the eco-lodge. Once we arrive, we will have lunch at the lodge, then discuss the plans for the following days.
At 3PM we will head out for a tour of the river, searching for wildlife.
Dinner at 7pm.
Day 2 - 4 (3 days)
WILDLIFE DAYS. We wake up and eat breakfast, after we will head out for a morning session with the dolphins.
We return for lunch at 12.
In the late afternoons we will head out in search of land wildlife; sloths, monkeys and colorful birds to photograph.
The Rio Negro is extraordinary; it is rich with life and is breathtaking to behold. The waters are so calm here. It is like floating on glass. With its life-sustaining biodiversity, the mangroves are the perfect setting for untold wild adventures.
Day 5
DEPARTURE DAY. We wake up and eat breakfast, after we will head out for a final morning session with the dolphins.
We return to pack up our gear, and have lunch.
We depart the lodge at 1PM. Please make your return flights for the late evening on the following morning.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

You will need to fly into Manaus Airport (MAO).
We stay at the Ibis Manaus Aeroporto by the airport.
This is where we have our host operator pick us up on arrival day.

A non-refundable deposit of $800 USD is required to reserve a space on SDM adventures.
50% of the expedition cost (balance) is due 180 days prior to departure.
100% of the expedition cost (balance) is due 90 days prior to departure.
A 4% surcharge is applied to payments made via credit card.
A 3% paypal surcharge is applied to payments made using paypal.
Payments can also be made via wire transfer. Just let us know and we will send you the bank transfer info. Please add $40 to cover bank fees.

All cancellations made more than 120 days prior to departure will receive refund (less an administrative fee of $800 USD per person). This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if we manage to fill the trip after you cancel, we will apply the deposit towards any of our trips that you sign up for, during the following 12 months. If you cancel again during that period, you will lose the deposit.
Cancellations made (91 to 120), calendar days prior to departure, are assessed a cancellation fee of 50% of the entire trip price, (including extensions).
Cancellations made within 90 days of departure date will not be refunded, therefore we strongly recommend all guest purchase travel insurance.
All cancellations must be made in writing by mail or by email to sdm@sharkdivermag.com, - received and acknowledged by SDM Adventures.
We are not responsible for cancellations due to medical or other reasons.
No fees will be refunded if you withdraw after an expedition begins.
We are not responsible for any fees associated with non-refundable air travel, we highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance.

Solo Travelers signing up for land-based trips individually will be charged the single occupancy rate.
To help keep costs down, you have the option to inform us if you would like to share a room with another solo guest of the same sex.
We'll make every effort to find you a roommate. However, if no one else wishes to share, you will be charged for a single room.
